Tangulbei Women Network (TAWN) is a Community-Based Organization working in Tiaty, Baringo County, to empower women and girls—especially the marginalized and at-risk—to thrive, lead, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Founded in 2011, Tangulbei Women Network (TAWN) is a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) dedicated to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in Baringo County, Kenya. We believe that a just and inclusive society is possible when women and girls are given the tools, opportunities, and support to thrive.
Vision:
A just and inclusive society where all women and girls, especially the marginalized and at-risk, are empowered to thrive, lead, and contribute meaningfully to economic and social development.
Mission:
To empower women in Tiaty, Baringo, through economic inclusion, education, leadership development, and protection from gender-based violence, fostering a safe and enabling environment for their full participation in society.

Where We Work:
We operate in Tiaty West, Tiaty East, and Tiaty Central sub-counties of Baringo County, Kenya.
Memberships & Networks:
TAWN is an active member of the Baringo Gender Sector Working Group and the Baringo Civil Society Organizations Forum (BACSOF), where we advocate, coordinate, and advance gender equality and women’s rights.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention & Response
Creating safer communities by addressing the root causes and consequences of GBV.
Economic Empowerment
Equipping adolescent girls and women with skills and resources for financial independence.
Women Leadership & Governance
Building women’s capacity to take up leadership positions in communities and beyond.
Gender-Responsive Public Service Delivery
Advocating for equitable access to quality services that meet the needs of women and girls.
Our Impact
– Direct Beneficiaries: 3,000 women, 1,000 men
– Indirect Beneficiaries: 30,000 women, 10,000 men
– Community Structures Supported: 13 women’s groups, 7 CBOs, and 14 Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLAs)
– Over Ksh 18 million mobilized through partnerships with Action Aid Kenya and Collaborative Centre for Gender & Development (CCGD)
